1. Agreement and eligibility
These terms govern the Omilo mobile application and omiloai.com. By creating an account, using Omilo, or purchasing an offer, you agree to these terms. The privacy notice explains data processing and is provided for your information; it is not a contract you are asked to accept.
You must be at least 16 and legally able to enter into these terms where you live. If you use Omilo for an organization, you confirm that you can bind that organization.
2. Service and translation limitations
Omilo provides automated live transcription and voice translation for face-to-face conversations. Automated results can contain errors, omissions, ambiguity, delays, or inappropriate wording.
Do not rely on Omilo for emergencies, medical or legal decisions, safety-critical instructions, financial transactions, or any situation requiring a qualified interpreter. Confirm important information independently.
3. Accounts and acceptable use
- Keep your device, email, and sign-in provider secure and provide accurate account information.
- Obtain the other person's agreement before processing their voice and respect privacy, confidentiality, and applicable recording laws.
- Do not use Omilo unlawfully, to harass, impersonate, exploit, or transmit harmful content.
- Do not disrupt, overload, probe, scrape, reverse engineer, or bypass security, payment, or usage limits except where law expressly permits it.
- Do not resell, share, or automate access in a way that defeats product or account controls.
4. Minutes and paid offers
An account is required. Omilo no longer includes free welcome minutes. Credit granted under an earlier offer remains available according to the balance displayed in the app.
The Discovery Pass is a one-time purchase of 10 translation minutes without an Omilo expiry date. It has no subscription or automatic renewal. It remains available to an eligible account until that account purchases it; buying another offer or already having a positive balance does not by itself remove eligibility. The price and availability shown in the app and by Apple or Google before payment apply.
Omilo Plus currently includes 90 translation minutes per month and Omilo Max 180 minutes per month. Subscriptions renew automatically for the period and price shown by the store unless cancelled before renewal.
The Travel pass is a one-time purchase of 60 minutes valid for 7 days. The Recharge is a one-time purchase of 30 minutes without an Omilo expiry date. The purchase screen and store confirmation show the applicable price and current product details before payment.
Minutes are personal, non-transferable, and have no cash value. Usage is charged according to active translated speech and the balance rules displayed in the app.
5. Payment, cancellation, and refunds
Apple or Google processes payment, renewal, cancellation, and refund requests under the terms of the relevant store. Omilo does not store your complete card details.
Deleting your Omilo account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel the subscription separately in your Apple or Google account. Mandatory consumer rights, including any applicable refund or withdrawal rights, remain unaffected.
6. Availability and changes
Omilo requires a compatible device, microphone access, internet connectivity, and third-party services. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, a specific translation result, or compatibility with every device.
We may maintain, improve, replace, suspend, or discontinue features. Where a material change affects a paid service, we will give notice when reasonably possible or legally required.
7. Intellectual property
Omilo, its software, interface, visual identity, text, and original assets are protected by intellectual-property law. You receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service as intended. No ownership is transferred.
8. Suspension, deletion, and responsibility
You may stop using Omilo or request account deletion at any time. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, prevent abuse, enforce these terms, or comply with law.
To the extent permitted by law, Omilo is not responsible for a decision made solely from an automated translation or for failures caused by the device, connection, stores, or third-party providers. Nothing excludes mandatory consumer protections or liability that cannot legally be limited.
9. Law, changes, and contact
French law applies, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available in their country of residence. Courts are determined by applicable mandatory rules.
